Normally these pages give information about company history, the founders, key milestones in the journey etc.
Here is a small dose of that.
Founded by Matt Manley in 1998.
Matt Manley is a kid from Drummond, smarter than most, loved by many and has travelled many trails spanning large corporations, entrepreneurial endeavors, family, rodeos, pastures and a whole lot more.
Conor Smith is a kid from Missoula & current owner.
Longs to see the world and its people taking care of one another. He fights that fight along with creating and driving the vision of First Call.
Our IT company History
Milestones
- 1998: Matt founded.
- 2001: Conor joined.
- 2003: Conor became a shareholder through blood, sweat and tears.
- 2012: Matt actually got a job at First Call.
- 2013: We gathered everyone together and broke up with our old selves and re-imaged our new selves. This vision goes way beyond the founders.
- Today: proud of what many people have built (people, process, tools, outcomes, leaders, teams, RELATIONSHIPS) and are continuing to build.

Most of us may not grace magazine covers, but for what we lack in glamor, we make up for in salt and light. Each one of us is a uniqe blend of qualities and capabilities. Bound together by a remarkable level of consciousness, self awareness, introspection, personal growth and higher ideals than “let’s get paid” or “lets get it done!”

When faced with challenges, we have a knack for adapting to new situations and overcoming obstacles. Adversity? We’ve seen our fair share of “shit piles,” but we learn from our mistakes and keep growing and evolving.
Learning is in our makeup. We’re naturally curious and always engaged in finding better ways of doing things.
Speaking of engagement, we love our traditions and “get-togethers” in all their various forms. Whether it’s a team gathering or a virtual hangout, we cherish the bonds we’ve formed and the shared experiences we’ve had.

We make it better!
We work hard, but not too hard. We plan ahead and like to win. Process documentation isn’t an ugly word around here. We strive to deliver a superior service and we face adversity as a team working together to get better every day… unless, of course, we have a day off. We’re cooler than your average IT shop because we aren’t your average IT shop.
When you work at First Call you join a spirited bunch of Montana diehards determined to have a dynamic and challenging career right here in the Big Sky state. We work in wonderful little places like Missoula, Kalispell, Butte, Great Falls and Helena! Places that mix just enough town and country to keep a person from feeling fenced in by daily commutes, airports or crowds.

We’re not your average IT company (keep reading).
They come equipped with Egrotron standing desks, noise-canceling headsets, two 24-inch monitors, and occasionally, a Swingline stapler.
Unlike many companies, our owners don’t sit in their ivory towers, smoking cigars and pouring aged scotch from expensive decanters (at least not during business hours). They are accessible, very transparent with business operations and — just like everyone else in the company — they plan the work and work the plan. They don’t have assistants or admin support.
